So the story goes. Viola Wills was originally set to release her version of Maybe This Time. Unable to reach a deal with the record company, Debbie Jacobs was brought in to record her version. Viola's team fought it's release. In the meantime, Norma Lewis recorded her version and it was released as an import, stealing the thunder from both Viola and Debbie. Norma's version went on to become the bigger hit, while Debbie's unreleased track was a huge underground hit.
Viola finally got around to releasing her version to little fanfare.

"I Am Woman" by Jessica Williams - Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Jessica Williams has been a part of disco music during the vital years - from Arpeggio to French Kiss.
It is no wonder that her talent take on a new representation in 1999 with a techno-dance cover of Helen Reddy's 1972 hit "I Am Woman" - produced by Ray Burton. The track was featured in the film, "Trick" and cleverly so.
I have taken the production in a new realm along with the 1982 comedy, "Tootsie" starring Dustin Hoffman, Jessica Lange and Terri Garr - it is obvious where the connection is - a mouth full of laughs and great spotlight by Dustin!

"Party Boys" - ReStructure Mix by Glenn Rivera - Foxy
Foxy brought a unique blend of funk/soul and a definite disco drive to dance floors in the late 70s. Lead by the very talented Ish Ledesma, the band created disco classics "Get Off" and "Hot Number". In 1979 their vinyl LP "Party Boys" completed set.
"Party Boys" was remixed and released in 1980 by Mike Lewis and brought the energy to dance floors and the excitement of disco music all over again. A fantastic breakdown of the album version and much more of of a crowd pleaser. I have taken the TK 12" single and gave it a ReStructure Mix with a few more tic-toc's and chopping to give the mix a new feel.
Dedicated to Ish Ledesma and the "Party Boys"! Those nights of being expelled from the club were worth it!
